Typical price ranges

What Irish businesses actually pay.

These are the ranges our own projects fall into. Every quote is fixed to an agreed scope before work starts — no hourly creep.

Starter website

€1,500 – €2,500

A small, sharp site for a new or single-service business.

  • Up to 5 pages, custom designed
  • Mobile-first responsive build
  • Contact form wired to your inbox
  • Basic search setup and sitemap
  • Google Analytics installed

Best for: Sole traders, trades and new businesses that need to look credible fast.

Business website

Most common

€2,500 – €5,000

The usual choice for an established business with several services.

  • 8–15 pages with per-service pages
  • Copy guidance and content structure
  • Quote or booking form flows
  • Full on-page SEO and structured data
  • Blog or insights section

Best for: Service businesses competing on Google for more than one term.

Ecommerce store

€3,000 – €8,000

Selling online, with catalogue, checkout and payments.

  • Product catalogue and category structure
  • Payment gateway integration
  • Checkout tuned to reduce drop-off
  • Product-level SEO and structured data
  • Revenue and funnel tracking

Best for: Retailers and product businesses taking orders online.

Custom system or app

Quoted after discovery

Bespoke software, portals, dashboards or mobile apps.

  • Requirements and technical discovery
  • Custom database and user accounts
  • Third-party system integrations
  • Staged delivery with working builds
  • Handover, documentation and support

Best for: Businesses whose process doesn't fit off-the-shelf software.

What moves the price

Four things decide where in the range you land.

When two quotes differ by thousands, it's almost always one of these — not the agency being greedy or generous.

Number of pages and content

Ten well-structured pages cost more than four. If you need the copy written as well as designed, that adds to the scope.

Custom design vs template

A theme is cheaper upfront and limits you later. Custom design costs more at the start and is usually the better long-term buy.

Integrations and systems

Payments, bookings, CRMs, stock feeds and logins each add build and testing time. This is where quotes vary most.

Timeline

A normal timeline keeps costs normal. A compressed deadline means reordering other work, and that carries a premium.

After launch

The ongoing costs nobody mentions upfront.

A website isn't a one-off purchase. These are the running costs to budget for, and the ones that are genuinely optional.

Domain name (.ie)
Roughly €20–€40 per year
Hosting
Roughly €10–€30 per month depending on the build
SSL certificate
Included with most hosting
Maintenance and updates
Optional monthly retainer
Ongoing SEO or marketing
Optional monthly retainer

Ask about your project
How much does a website cost in Ireland?
For most Irish small and medium businesses, a professional website costs between €1,500 and €8,000. A simple brochure site sits at the lower end, a multi-service business site in the middle, and an online store or heavily custom build at the top. Bespoke software and apps are quoted after a discovery call.
Why do quotes vary so much between agencies?
Because 'website' can mean a template filled in over a weekend or a custom-built system. The honest comparison is scope: how many pages, who writes the content, whether the design is original, what's integrated, and whether search setup and tracking are included.
Do you charge a deposit?
Yes. Work starts on an agreed deposit, with the balance staged against milestones. Everything is set out in writing before the first payment.
Are there ongoing costs after launch?
You'll always have a domain and hosting to cover. Maintenance, content updates, SEO and campaign management are optional monthly retainers — useful, but never compulsory.
Is a cheap website worth it?
Sometimes. If you need a presence and nothing more, a small site is fine. If the site has to bring in enquiries, the cheap version usually gets rebuilt within two years, which costs more than doing it properly once.
Do you offer payment plans?
We stage payments across the project by default. If you need a longer schedule, mention it on the quote form and we'll work something out.
